మొదట అసలు విషయం చూద్దాం. Kadapa జిల్లాలోని Mangampeta అనే చిన్న Village దగ్గర ఉన్న Barytes Deposit, ప్రపంచంలో ఒకే Layer లో ఉన్న అతి పెద్ద Single-Bedded Barytes Deposit. దీన్ని Geological Survey of India 1982 లోనే National Geological Monument గా Declare చేసింది.
అంచనా వేసిన మొత్తం Resources దాదాపు 74 Million Tonnes, అంటే ప్రపంచంలో తెలిసిన మొత్తం Barytes Reserves లో 28 Percent కేవలం మన Kadapa లో ఉంది. APMDC ఈ Mine ని Actively నడుపుతోంది, ఇప్పుడు Mining Lease Area 225.05 Hectares గా ఉంది.
ఇప్పుడు భయపెట్టే విషయం ఏమిటంటే, AP ప్రతి సంవత్సరం దాదాపు 3 Million Tonnes తవ్వి తీస్తోంది. ఇలా వేగంగా తవ్వుతూ పోతే, మరో 10 Years లో AP Barytes కి Import Dependent అయిపోయే ప్రమాదం ఉందని Experts హెచ్చరిస్తున్నారు. ఇప్పుడు AP-TSMM వస్తోంది. February 2026 లో తెలిసిన విషయం ఏమిటంటే, Rare Earth Corridor కేవలం Coastal Belt కే కాదు, Rayalaseema లోని Anantapur మరియు Sri Sathya Sai District లో కూడా Terrain Exploration జరుగుతోంది. Officials Confirm చేశారు, Rayalaseema లో Significant Rare Earth Mineral Deposits Identify అయ్యాయి అని, Surveys మరియు Research అక్కడ చాలా High-Value Minerals ఉన్నాయని చూపిస్తున్నాయని.
